Morocco has 13 paid public holidays per year: fixed-date civil holidays (New Year's Day, Labour Day), national holidays (Throne Day, Green March, Independence Day, Revolution of the King and the People, Youth Day, Oued Ed-Dahab Day), the Amazigh New Year (Yennayer), and Islamic holidays set by the Hijri calendar: Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Islamic New Year, Ashura and Mawlid an-Nabi.
Religious dates move about 11 days earlier each Gregorian year and are only final after the lunar crescent sighting: check this page regularly, estimated dates are updated as soon as they are officially confirmed. Also watch for bridge days: when a holiday falls on a Tuesday or Thursday, the Wednesday or Friday makes a long weekend perfect for concerts, festivals and going out.
